This is the list of the main chickens we breed,(occasionally we do breed other types), I try to keep the website as up-to-date as I can but availability changes from day to day, please email or telephone for further information on whats available at the moment.
If you are considering buying some day old chicks, but have never kept them before check out our "Chicken Care" page which will give you tips and advice on caring for chicks.
Please note: we do not take reservations for hens but can add you to our mailing list and let you know by email when the hens you require are available.

SILKIES
The feathers on silkies don't have barbs or quills, and the birds look and feel like balls of fluff!. Interesting characteristics of the breed are its 5 toes and black skin. Silkie hens are among the best to use as broodies if you want to hatch your eggs out under hens. They make wonderful mothers

WYANDOTTES - BANTAM
These wonderful little birds come in some stunning colours. Wyandottes also make excellent mothers.

PEKINS
These little birds are very popular both in the fancy for showing and with backyarders as pets. They are very tame and pretty. They are also popular as broody hens, being able to cover a fair number of eggs and sitting very tightly.

RHODE ISLAND RED
One of the best known breeds, the RIR is a good layer of large brown eggs. The hens will rarely go broody and can produce around 260 eggs per year.
